Roads End State Recreation Site
Lincoln City, OR
Roads End sits at the north edge of Lincoln City, officially beach access number 40C, where the road that gives the park its name simply stops at the sand. Sea caves and tide pools show up along the rocks at the north end, making this one of the more interesting stops among Lincoln City's roughly dozen numbered accesses.
The sea caves make this one of the better numbered accesses in town, though the caves themselves are fully tide dependent.
How we score beachesHead north toward the rocks at low tide for the sea caves and tide pools. At high tide that whole section disappears and it's just open sand.
Free lot at the end of Logan Road.
A paved path and short boardwalk lead from the lot to the sand.
Leashed dogs are allowed on the beach.
Summer, June through September, is driest; low tide any time of year is when the sea caves and tide pools at the north end are worth the walk.
