Saint's Landing
Brewster, MA
Saint's Landing in Brewster sits at the end of Saints Landing Road on Cape Cod Bay. The beach is narrow at high tide. When the water drops, the Brewster flats open up and the shoreline pulls back a long way. Crowds stay light. There are no lifeguards and just a portable toilet, so bring what you need.
Light crowds and miles of exposed flats at low tide make it a reliable pick for a long walk, but at high tide there is very little beach, and there are no lifeguards.
How we score beachesCheck a tide chart before you go. At low tide the flats are the whole point, and the shellfish stocking and clamming permits are handled through the town.
A small lot serves the landing, and a Brewster beach pass is needed for parking in peak season. Passes are bought online and enforced by plate reader, so sort it out before you arrive.
The lot sits close to the shore, but the beach itself is soft sand and flats that turn wet and uneven as the tide moves. Strollers and wheelchairs will struggle past the top of the beach.
Summer is the easy season, with Cape Cod Bay water warmer than most of the Atlantic side. Spring and fall are quiet, and the flats are at their best on clear low tide days.
