A separate, unofficial access further south along the old toll road has long been known locally as a clothing-optional beach, distinct from the main state park entrance.
The creek mouth and driftwood give it real character, and the blufftop picnic area is a genuine plus, though the nearby toll road access has a very different crowd worth knowing about ahead of time.
