Sandy Beach
Cohasset, MA
Sandy Beach is Cohasset's most popular swimming beach, over 300 feet of well kept sand run by the Sandy Beach Association, with seasonal restrooms and a snack bar. It is essentially a resident beach, and parking requires a current All Facilities sticker, so most visitors will find it much easier to look than to stay.
Locals treat it as the town's crown jewel for well kept sand and easy amenities, but non-residents are largely shut out.
How we score beachesParking requires a Cohasset All Facilities sticker, so non-residents should plan to walk in from town. Check the association's rules before you go.
A current Cohasset All Facilities sticker is required to park at Sandy Beach, and non-resident access is very limited.
Restrooms and a snack bar are near the sand, with a short walk from the parking area. Check the association's page for current details.
The beach is at its best in July and August, when the snack bar and lifeguard season are in full swing.
