Sea Isle City requires a beach tag for anyone 12 and older, with one quirk worth knowing: tags aren't checked on Wednesdays, effectively making it a free beach day once a week all summer. Digital tags through the city's mobile app have mostly replaced the old paper version for anyone buying a weekly or daily pass.
The Wednesday badge exemption is a genuinely useful local secret, but otherwise it's a fairly standard barrier island beach town without much else to set it apart.

Dogs aren't allowed on the beach, beach approaches, or Promenade from May through September. Leashed, licensed dogs are welcome the rest of the year.
Water warms into the low to mid 70s by August, consistent with the rest of the barrier islands in the county. The badge free Wednesdays make midweek visits noticeably busier than a typical Wednesday elsewhere.
