Seabrook Beach
Seabrook, WA
Seabrook Beach fronts the planned resort town of the same name, reached by paths through dune grass that feel more manicured than the wilder beaches nearby. The sand below the high tide line is public like anywhere in Washington, and the town keeps its stretch noticeably cleaner and more maintained than the drive-on beaches to the north and south.
Pleasant and easy, kept cleaner than most of the coast, but it reads more like a resort amenity than a discovery, and locals from surrounding towns come more for the town itself than the sand.
How we score beachesPark in one of Seabrook's public lots rather than assuming street parking; the town manages access carefully since most of the surrounding land is private.
Free public parking is available in town-managed lots; there's no Discover Pass requirement since this isn't a state park.
Boardwalk paths through the dune grass lead to the beach, an easier walk than most undeveloped approaches nearby.
Summer draws the resort's own visitors. The beach is much quieter in the off season.
