Seapoint Beach
Kittery, ME
Seapoint Beach is a long sandy beach on Kittery Point, at the southern edge of the state. It is reached by a small street lot that works on parking permits, so the beach stays quieter than the big beaches further up the coast. Expect a neighborhood crowd and a wide strip of sand at low tide.
A long, quiet beach at the state line, but permit parking limits who can use it easily.
How we score beachesCheck the parking permit rules before you drive out, since the lot is small and enforced. Low tide gives you the most beach to walk.
A small street lot on a parking permit system. Confirm current rules with the Town of Kittery before you go.
A short walk from the lot to the sand. Not wheelchair friendly.
Summer is the warmest, though Maine water stays cold. Shoulder seasons bring empty sand and clear air.
