How we score beachesThe trail down is loose and steep in spots, so take it slow, especially on the climb back up.
Leashed dogs are allowed on the beach and trail year-round within the Samuel H. Boardman State Scenic Corridor.
Southern Oregon's rainy season runs roughly October through May, which makes the steep trail down considerably more treacherous than it is in summer. July through September brings the driest footing and the best odds of a clear day at the waterfall.
