Siasconset Beach
Nantucket, MA
Siasconset Beach lies below the rose covered cottages of 'Sconset village on Nantucket's east coast, a long Atlantic beach beneath a bluff. It is a peaceful, old fashioned corner of the island. You can reach it by the NRTA shuttle or a bike ride of about six miles from town.
Charming and peaceful, though it is a long trip from town and parking is scarce.
How we score beachesBike out if you can and make an afternoon of it. Stop at the village market and walk the beach at low tide.
Parking in the village is limited, and many visitors arrive by shuttle or bike.
Paths lead down from the village to the sand, which is soft near the water. There are no built facilities.
East side Atlantic water is cool, and the beach is quiet on shoulder season days.
