How we score beachesThe public beach lot fills early in season. A free trolley runs the length of the key if you strike out on parking.
Dogs are not permitted on the sand or in the water at Siesta Key Beach, aside from service animals.
Gulf water off Siesta Key warms into the 80s by summer and rarely drops below the upper 60s even in winter. Hurricane season runs June through November, and the quartz sand's biggest crowds show up in the milder, drier months from December through April.
