A quiet, easygoing neighborhood beach with a good park behind it, but a river mouth location means water clarity varies with the weather.

How we score beaches
Local Tip

Come for the park more than the swimming. It is a pleasant place for a picnic and a walk along the harbor, especially early in the day.

Parking

There is a lot at the park and some street parking nearby. Check signage for current rules.

Accessibility

The park has paved paths and open lawn, and the beach is a short walk from the parking area. The sand is regular soft sand.

Weather & the best time to visit

Mid to late summer is the sweet spot, and the river mouth can make the water murkier after heavy rain. Fall walks along the shore are peaceful.
