Tennessee Cove

Tennessee Cove sits at the end of a two mile trail through the Marin Headlands, one of the more popular hikes in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area and a genuine option for horseback riding as well as walking. The beach itself takes its name from a shipwreck offshore, part of the trail's appeal beyond just the destination.
A genuinely rewarding hike with real history behind the cove's name, though the two mile trail each way is a real commitment compared to a drive-up beach.
