Tracks Beach Park

Kapolei, HI

SnorkelingSurfing

Tracks Beach Park sits just north of Electric Beach, named for the old railroad line that once ran along this stretch of coast, with a gentler, sandier entry than its more famous neighbor. Surfers use it as an easier paddle out, and the water clarity here rivals Electric Beach without the crowd or the tricky footing.

A genuinely easier, gentler version of Electric Beach's good snorkeling, though it shares the same industrial power plant backdrop and isn't much of a scenery beach.

How we score beaches
Local Tip

If Electric Beach's entry looks too rough, walk up to Tracks instead. The reef starts closer to shore and the entry is noticeably easier.

Parking

A lot serves the park off Farrington Highway, smaller than the one at Kahe Point.

Accessibility

Flat sand leads to a gentle water entry, easier footing than the steep drop off at Electric Beach next door.

Weather & the best time to visit

Calmest and clearest in summer, similar seasonal pattern to Electric Beach just south.
