The Villas is Lower Township's quieter, more affordable answer to the ocean side crowds, a bayfront neighborhood along the Delaware Bay where the water stays calm and the pace stays slow. It's less a single beach than a string of small, informal bay access points running along the shoreline.

Dogs aren't allowed on Lower Township's bay beaches between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Leashed dogs are welcome any time of day during the off season.
Bay water warms into the mid to upper 70s by August, calmer and typically warmer than the ocean beaches on the other side of the peninsula.
