Windward Beach Park
Brick, NJ
Windward Beach Park sits on the Metedeconk River in Brick Township, a more than 40 acre park where the beach is just one piece alongside playgrounds, picnic areas, and walking trails. Getting into the park itself is free, though a beach badge from the township recreation office is required for the actual bathing area.
A genuinely well rounded park beyond just the beach, though the river swimming area itself is modest compared to the bigger bay and ocean beaches nearby.

A parking area serves the park directly at 265 Princeton Avenue, free like the rest of the park.
Paved walking trails run through the park with flat access toward the riverside beach area.
Leashed dogs are allowed on the beach.
River water here runs a bit warmer than the open bay by midsummer, comfortable for wading and swimming by June. Fall brings some of the better birdwatching along the wetland edges of the park.
