It's the quieter, more local option when Bald Point's Apalachee Bay beaches feel too busy, though it comes with essentially none of the state park's parking or facilities.
Genuine, unrestricted dog access and a real local feel are the draws, but the lack of parking or any facilities means it's a resident's beach more than a real destination for visitors.

Spring and fall bring the mildest weather for this remote stretch of the Forgotten Coast. Summer's heat and hurricane season, June through November, are the main things to plan around.
