Biloxi Beach

Biloxi, MS

Family-friendlyHistoric

Biloxi Beach runs for miles along Highway 90, a wide man made stretch of sand facing the Mississippi Sound rather than the open Gulf, backed by casinos and the historic Biloxi Lighthouse. Free parking the entire length of the highway is the kind of easy access few Gulf Coast cities still offer.

Locals Score🥥🥥🥥🥥🥥

Free parking the entire length of the beach and genuinely calm, shallow water make it an easy default, though the sand is man made and the casino backdrop is a different vibe than a natural barrier island beach.

How we score beaches
Local Tip

The water here is shallow and calm for a long way out, thanks to the barrier islands offshore, which makes it a better bet for small kids than the more exposed beaches on Alabama's coast.

Parking

Free parking runs the length of Highway 90 along the beach, no meters, no lots to hunt for.

Accessibility

The beach is flat and open directly off the highway, an easy walk from most parking spots.

Pets

Dogs are prohibited on all Harrison County beaches, including Biloxi, Gulfport, Pass Christian, and Long Beach, with no exceptions besides trained service dogs.

Weather & the best time to visit

Water warms into the mid 80s by August, calm and shallow thanks to the barrier islands offshore, inside the same June through November hurricane season as the rest of the Gulf coast. Casino crowds keep the area busy well outside of beach season too.
