Ghar Lapsi

Ghar Lapsi sits on Malta's rugged south coast in Siggiewi, one of the few spots along this stretch where you can actually get into the sea from shore. The rocky inlet forms a natural, sheltered pool that stays calm even when the open water beyond it is choppy, and clarity here regularly runs past 20 meters for anyone diving or snorkeling.
A real local dive and swim spot with genuinely excellent water clarity, but the rocky, sometimes slippery entry means it rewards caution over a casual walk in.
Use the concrete platform on the western side to get in. It's the easiest entry point, though it's still rocky and can be slippery, so water shoes help.
There's a large parking area right at the site, an easy drive from Siggiewi or anywhere on Malta's south coast.
Entry into the water is over rock rather than sand, with a steep concrete slipway at the main access point. Not suited to strollers, wheelchairs, or anyone unsteady on wet rock.
June through September brings the warmest, calmest water for swimming and diving, with visibility staying strong most of the year thanks to the sheltered shape of the inlet.
