Gulf Breeze Beach
Cameron, LA
Gulf Breeze Beach is a short, unmarked stretch of sand just off Gulf Beach Highway (LA 82) between Constance Beach and the Sabine refuge lands further west. The Louisiana Department of Health tests its water along with the parish's other beaches, and it has drawn its share of advisories over the years the same as its neighbors. Most days it's just gulls, ghost crabs, and whoever pulled off the highway.
Genuinely quiet and easy to have to yourself, but the periodic water quality advisories and complete lack of facilities keep it from being anyone's first choice on this stretch of coast.

There's no lot, just a shoulder pull off along LA 82. Room is rarely an issue.
A short walk over sand and shell from the roadside to the water, uneven underfoot and not paved or boardwalked in any way.
This stretch of the Cameron Parish coast follows the same pattern as the rest of southwest Louisiana, hot and humid through hurricane season, June to November, with the calmest water in late spring and early fall.
