Loyola Beach is a small, unincorporated bayside community on the Cayo del Grullo inlet of Baffin Bay, built around Leo Kaufer Park, a county park established in 1955 with a fishing pier and boat dock. It's a fishing town more than a swimming beach, quiet enough that county evacuation orders during storms are announced by name alongside Riviera Beach.
It's a real, functioning fishing community with genuine local history, but there's little here for anyone not specifically fishing, and the shade and facilities are minimal.
How we score beachesCome for the redfish and trout fishing the bay is known for rather than a swim. The pier and boat dock are the real draw here, not the sand.

Fall through spring brings the best fishing, while summer heat on this exposed bay can be intense with little shade. Hurricane season runs June through November, and this stretch is often named specifically in evacuation orders.
