Pasjaca Beach

Pasjaca Beach sits below the Konavle cliffs about 30 kilometers southeast of Dubrovnik, Croatia, a narrow strip of sand and pebble reached by a stone stairway carved straight into the rock. The walk down offers sweeping views of the Adriatic before it drops you onto a beach barely 80 meters long, tucked between two sheer walls.
One of Konavle's most striking beaches for the view alone, though the total lack of facilities and the steep descent mean it takes real effort for what is still a small patch of sand.
Bring everything you'll need for the day. There are no cafes or restrooms anywhere near the beach, just the stairway, the cliffs, and the water.
There's a paved road from Cavtat to the village of Popovici with parking for around 50 cars near the top of the stairway.
A steep stone stairway with narrow walkways is the only way down, not suited to strollers, wheelchairs, or anyone unsteady on uneven steps.
June through September brings the warm, sunny weather and calm swimming conditions that make the climb down worthwhile, with the Adriatic reaching its most comfortable temperatures by midsummer.
