Psili Ammos Beach

Psili Ammos sits on the east coast of Serifos in Greece's Cyclades, about eight kilometers north of the port at Livadi, a 220 meter stretch of fine sand shaded by tamarisk trees along the back edge. The name translates to fine sand, and the shallow, calm water here has made it one of the more recognized family beaches in the Cyclades.
A genuinely excellent family beach with real shade and calm water, though its reputation means the tavernas and the sand both fill up fast in the middle of summer.
Rent a moped at the port if you don't want the roughly hour long walk from Livadi. It's a short, easy ten minute drive instead.
There's informal parking near the beach for anyone arriving by car or moped from Livadi, about a ten minute drive or an hour on foot.
The approach from the small parking area to the sand is flat and short, and the beach itself is easy underfoot, well suited to families with young kids.
June through September brings the warm, calm water Serifos is known for, with the tamarisk shade along the back of the beach making midday heat more bearable than at more exposed beaches on the island.
