Seagrove Beach sits at the eastern end of Scenic Highway 30A, its new Regional Beach Access having opened in 2026 with a dune walkover, rinse showers, and seasonal lifeguard coverage. It's one of the quieter 30A towns, without the master-planned look of Seaside or Rosemary Beach just down the road.
The new regional access with lifeguards and real amenities is a genuine upgrade for the area, though the quieter, less manicured feel means fewer built-in things to do than 30A's more famous planned towns.
How we score beachesThe regional access lot is new and fills up, arrive early in season since 30A's public lots are limited relative to how many people visit. Pet rules vary by rental property here rather than a single blanket beach policy, so check current signage at the access point.
The Seagrove Regional Beach Access has onsite parking, though spots are limited and fill quickly in season.
An accessible dune walkover connects the lot to the beach.
Dogs are allowed on Walton County beaches on a leash, but only during restricted hours (roughly 3:30pm to 8:30am) and only for permit holders who are county residents or property owners.
Spring and fall bring the mildest Panhandle weather and thinner crowds. Summer's heat and hurricane season, June through November, bring the biggest 30A crowds despite the warmest water.
