Tiritana

Tiritana is a small beach at the mouth of a ravine in Mogan, on Gran Canaria's southern coast in Spain, reached by a short hike down a rocky valley off the GC-500 road. The sand here shifts between golden and rocky depending on recent weather and tides, and the walk in, while brief, requires scrambling over a few boulders along the way.
A genuine mini adventure with a real payoff at the bottom, though the unpredictable sand and the boulder scramble mean it's not for anyone looking for an easy beach day.
Go at low tide for the best chance of finding an actual sandy patch rather than exposed rock, since the beach composition here changes day to day.
There's a parking area along the GC-500 road, from which a roughly 15 minute hike down the ravine leads to the beach.
The hike involves rocky terrain and a few larger boulders to climb over, not suited to strollers, limited mobility, or casual footwear.
The Canary Islands stay warm nearly year round, with the calmest conditions for the hike and swim typically from June through September.
